Three year old Sonny Bergman steps back 85 years as he sits in an original billy cart built circa 1930. The Gresford Historical Society loaned us two billy carts from the same era to display at the soccer gala day. The soccer club had over 1000 players and family members attend the special day and to watch the unveiling of the new screens funded by donations from last year's Billy cart derby. President of the Soccer Club, Jim Doyle said "we could not have hoped to get the screens except for the generous donation from the Gresford Billy Cart Derby Committee". As for Sonny he will be old enough in another four years to be able to compete in the billy cart racing, just enough time for dad to build him a new one.
